By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Dec 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Jumbo Prawns, Black Pepper crushed Cuisine Chinese Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Salt And Pepper Prawns 450 grams Jumbo Prawns to taste Black Pepper crushed 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder 10 Black peppercorns crushed 3 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch 3 tablespoons Soy sauce 2 tbsps + to deep fry Oil 5 cloves Garlic crushed 1 inch piece Ginger chopped 2 Spring onions sliced 1/4 teaspoon MSG 4 stalks Spring onion greens sliced Method Advertisment Shell prawns but keep the tail intact, devein and wash thoroughly. In a bowl mix salt, half teaspoon black pepper powder, half of the crushed black peppercorns, two tablespoons of cornflour, one tablespoon of soy sauce. Add the prawns, mix well and marinate for fifteen minutes. Dissolve one tablespoon cornflour in three tablespoons of water. Heat sufficient oil in a wok and deep fry the prawns for two minutes and drain on absorbent paper. In a pan heat two tablespoons of oil. Add garlic, ginger, spring onions and sauté for two minutes on high heat. Add the prawns, salt, remaining black pepper powder, half of the remaining crushed black peppercorns, soy sauce, MSG, dissolved cornflour and spring onion greens. Mix well. Stir fry on high heat for four minutes or until the prawns are cooked through. Before serving sprinkle the remaining crushed black peppercorns.
