Ingredients list for Nut And Date Cubes
- 1/2 cup Peanuts finely chopped
 - 250 grams dates seeded and chopped
 - 1/2 tsp + for greasing Oil
 
Method
- Preheat an oven to 150ºC. Grease a 7 inch x 4 inch baking dish with a little oil. Add soda bicarbonate to five tablespoons hot water in a bowl and soak dates in it for one hour. Sift refined flour with baking powder into a bowl.
 - Mix in the dates and groundnuts. In another bowl, beat half cup oil with condensed milk. Add vanilla essence and mix well. Add half the flour-date-nut mixture and beat well, add the remaining mixture and beat well again.
 - Transfer this mixture into the greased dish and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for forty-five to fifty minutes. Let it stand in the oven for five to seven minutes.
 - Cut into half lengthways and then into 1 inch thick slices and then into cubes. Serve immediately.
