Ingredients list for Mushroom Matar Mustard

  • 10-15 Button Mushrooms halved
  • 1/2 cup Green Peas
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Mustard seeds

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add ½ tsp mustard seeds, cumin seeds, onion seeds, onions and saute till golden.
  2. Grind garlic, green chillies, ginger, coriander seeds, remaining mustard seeds in a mixer jar with a little water to a fine paste.
  3. Cube potatoes and add to pan and mix. Add mushrooms and the ground paste and mix. Pour 1 cup water into the mixer jar, shake it well and add to the pan.
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder and mix well. Cover and cook till potatoes are almost done.
  5. Add green peas and mix. Cover and cook till potatoes are completely done.
  6. Serve hot.
