Ever wondered why the phrase “say cheese” is used just before a photograph is clicked? Simply because ‘cheese’ makes one smile! Not only the word but cheese as a food makes a lot of palates happy. It is an inexpensive, versatile and nourishing food. We have our very own Indian version as well as the ones made from soy milk that are even healthier. Whichever form, this is one food that is loved by one and all!

Ingredients for Masala Cheese Kachori Recipe

  • Cheese 1/4 cup

  • Cottage CHeese grated 1/2 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Ghee 2 teaspoons

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Tomato chopped 1 medium

  • Green chillies chopped 3

  • Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon


Step 1

Make a dough with refined flour, salt, ghee, black pepper powder and little water to make a soft dough. Set aside for ten minutes. In a bowl make mix together cheese, cottage cheese, onion, tomato and green chillies.

Step 2

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into balls. Flatten each dough ball and stuff with a portion of the filling, gather the edges and seal.

Step 3

Roll into small kachoris. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the kachoris on medium heat, a few at a time, till crisp and golden brown in colour.

Step 4

Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
