Ingredients list for Kurmura Nashta

  • 1 cup Puffed Rice
  • 5-7 Dried Golden Apricots
  • 8-10 Dried prunes
  • 2 teaspoons Brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons Chocolate powder
  • Yogurt whisked 4 tablespoons + 4 teaspoons
  • for garnishing Raisins
  • for garnishing Slivered almonds blanched & peeled
  • Honey for drizzling

Method

  1. Roughly chop apricots and prunes.
  2. Dry roast puffed rice in a non-stick pan till crisp. Add brown sugar and chocolate powder and mix well. Transfer into a bowl and crush lightly.
  3. For each portion put some of the chopped apricots and prunes into a serving bowl. Add 1 tbsp yogurt, some of the puffed rice mixture, top with 1 tsp yogurt, garnish with raisins and slivered almonds and drizzle honey and serve immediately.
