Ingredients list for Italian Sausage Pizza
- 2 Pizza base 6 Inches
- 4 Sausages thin slices spicy
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 cloves Garlic chopped
- Dried oregano
- 2 cups Tomato concasse
- 1 small Onion chopped
- 1/2 cup Tomato puree
- 2 Basil leaves,torn
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 6-8 Peppercorns crushed
- FOR TOPPING
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. For the sauce, heat olive oil in a pan; add garlic and a large pinch of dried oregano and sauté for half a minute. Add the onion and sauté till translucent. Add tomato concasse and cook till all the moisture has evaporated.
- Add tomato purée and cook for another five to eight minutes. Add the basil leaves, salt, sugar and half the crushed peppercorns and mix well.
- Set aside to cool. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza bases and sprinkle with mushrooms. Arrange the sausage slices over the mushrooms. Sprinkle with the grated cheese, dried herbs, chilli flakes, salt and crushed peppercorns.
- Drizzle olive oil over and bake for ten to fifteen minutes till the cheese melts. Remove from the oven, cut into wedges and serve immediately.
