Ingredients list for Gulab Jamun Kulfi

  • 12-16 Mini gulabjamuns
  • 5 1/2 cups Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Milk powder
  • 2 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch
  • 400 grams Sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tablespoons Khoya/mawa grated
  • 15-20 Almonds blanched and peeled

Method

  1. Boil 5 cups milk in a deep non stick pan and simmer till it reduces to half its original quantity. Mix milk powder and cornstarch with ½ cup milk till smooth. Add it to the milk and cook till it thickens. Add condensed milk and mix.
  2. Add khoya and mix and continue to cook, stirring frequently. Crush almonds and add to the pan and mix. Add the gulab jamuns and mix and cook, stirring continuously for 4-5 minutes. Pour into kulfi moulds and let them cool down to room temperature. Keep them in the freezer to set. When fully set, demould and serve immediately.
