History of Indian cuisine dates back to nearly 5,000-years ago when various groups and cultures interacted with India that led to a diversity of flavours and regional cuisines.
Indian cuisine comprises of a number of regional cuisines.  The diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic group and occupations, these cuisines differ from each other mainly due to the use of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Falooda Recipe

  • Vermicelli dried 1/2 cup

  • Rabdi 1 cup

  • Falooda vermicelli dried 1/2 cup

  • Rose syrup as required

  • Vanilla ice cream 1 packet

  • Nuts chopped 4 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat 1 cup water in a non stick pan, when the water starts boiling add falooda and cook.

Step 2

Soak sabza in water till it puffs up. Chill glasses in the refrigerator. Drain falooda and put into a bowl, add ice cubes and water.

Step 3

Fill ⅓ of each glass with rabdi, add crushed ice and 3 tsps rose syrup, a little drained sabza, a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream.

Step 4

Drain the falooda and some of it into each glass. Sprinkle nuts over them, drizzle some more rabdi and a little rose syrup. Put some more sabza over each glass and serve immediately
