Ingredients list for Dal Pooda With Paneer Stuffing
- 1 cup Split Green Gram Skinless soaked for 3-4 hours and drained
- 200 grams Cottage Cheese cut into fingers
- to taste Salt
Method
- Grind the dal with one and a half cups water into a smooth batter. Add half teaspoon salt, half teaspoon red chilli powder and one tablespoon chopped coriander. Mix well and set aside. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- Add remaining salt, garam masala powder and remaining red chilli powder. Mix well and switch off the heat. Add paneer fingers and remaining coriander.
- Mix well and place on medium heat. Fry for a few seconds and set aside. Heat a non-stick tawa. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread to make a cheela.
- Pour some oil on the sides and cook till lightly brown from one side. Meanwhile heat the Grill Pan. Remove cheela from the tawa and place on a heated non-stick grill.
- Place a paneer piece at one end of the cheela. Roll and turn over and cook till evenly done on the other side. Serve hot with mint chutney.
