Ingredients list for Coffee Mousse Canape
- 2 teaspoons Instant coffee powder
- as required Dark sponge cake
- 1/2 cup Fresh cream
- 1 cup White chocolate chopped
- 1 1/2 cups Whipped cream
- for garnish Fresh mint sprigs
Method
- Heat fresh cream in a non-stick pan till warm.
- Combine white chocolate and warm cream in a bowl and stir till the chocolate melts. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature.
- Mix coffee powder with one to two tablespoons water in a small bowl and heat it in the microwave for ten seconds. Remove from oven and cool it down to room temperature.
- Cut dark sponge into half horizontally and cut into different shapes with cookie cutters.
- Add coffee decoction to the chocolate mixture and mix. Fold in whipped cream.
- Put the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and pipe out rosettes over the dark sponge pieces.
- Garnish with mint sprigs and serve immediately.
