Ingredients for Coffee Mousse Canape Recipe

  • Instant coffee powder 2 teaspoons

  • Dark sponge cake as required

  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup

  • White chocolate chopped 1 cup

  • Whipped cream 1 1/2 cups

  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Method

Step 1

Heat fresh cream in a non-stick pan till warm.

Step 2

Combine white chocolate and warm cream in a bowl and stir till the chocolate melts. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature.

Step 3

Mix coffee powder with one to two tablespoons water in a small bowl and heat it in the microwave for ten seconds. Remove from oven and cool it down to room temperature.

Step 4

Cut dark sponge into half horizontally and cut into different shapes with cookie cutters.

Step 5

Add coffee decoction to the chocolate mixture and mix. Fold in whipped cream.

Step 6

Put the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and pipe out rosettes over the dark sponge pieces.

Step 7

Garnish with mint sprigs and serve immediately.
