Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Cook time : 26-30 minutes

Ingredients for Chicken Cosce Pollo Recipe

  • Chicken 4

  • Tomato sauce 4½ tablespoons

  • black pepper powder ½ teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • paprika powder 1 teaspoon

  • red chilli flakes ½ teaspoon

  • garlic finely chopped 1 teaspoon

  • medium onion finely chopped 1

  • tomato sauce 1 cup

  • fresh basil leaves 3-4 for garnishing


Step 1

Make incisions on chicken drumsticks and put them in a bowl. Add 2 tbsps olive oil, black pepper powder, salt, paprika powder, red chilli flakes and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 2

Heat 1½ tbsps olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and onion and sauté till onion is half done.

Step 3

Heat remaining olive oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place marinated chicken drumsticks on it and grill till evenly browned from all sides.

Step 4

Add tomato sauce to onions. Mix well and add torn basil leaves and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Add grilled drumsticks, ½ cup water and mix well. Cook till chicken is ¾ done.

Step 6

Transfer the chicken with the sauce in a non-stick grill pan and place the pan in an oven. Roast at 180°C for 18-20 minutes.

Step 7

Remove the dish from oven, garnish with few basil leaves and serve hot.
