Ingredients list for Bhartewala Keema
- 2 large Brinjals Roasted and peeled
- 300 grams Mutton mince
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 tablespoons Garlic chopped
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- 2 medium Tomatoes chopped
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds and saute.
- Put the brinjals in a blender jar and hand blend it slightly.
- When cumin seeds begin to change colour, add garlic and saute till they get slightly burnt. Add onion and ginger and saute for 1 minute. Add mutton mince and salt and saute till well browned.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and mix well. Continue to saute for 2 minutes.
- Add 1½ cups water and mix. Add green chillies, cover and cook till mince gets cooked.
- Put the brinjal stem in the pan with the mince and cook. When mince is almost done, add tomatoes and cover and cook till mince is completely done.
- Chop some fresh coriander and add along with brinjals and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
