Ingredients list for Baked Fish Fillet With Citrus Sauce
- 8 Fish Fillets
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Orange juice
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon Lemon rind grated
- 1 teaspoon Orange rind grated
- 2 tablespoons Fresh orange juice
- 4 tablespoons Cream
- a few Fresh basil leaves
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Generously grease a large baking dish with melted butter. Tear a few of the basil leaves with hand.
- Reserve a few sprigs for garnishing. Lay the fish fillets skin side down in the baking dish, in one layer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, combine the lemon and orange rinds and orange juice. Pour the mixture over the fish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. It should take about ten to twelve minutes. Transfer the fish to a warm platter.
- Strain the juices from the baking tray into a small pan. Stir in the cream and hand torn basil. Bring to a slow boil and continue to cook till it thickens.
- Remove from heat. Pour the citrus cream over the warm fish fillets. Garnish with fresh basil sprigs and serve.
