Ingredients list for Alutua
- 3 medium Sweet potato boiled and mashed
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1/2 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 12 Raisins

Method
- Boil sugar with one cup of water till a syrup of one string consistency is formed. Keep it warm. Sieve refined flour with soda bicarbonate. Rub in ghee. Add this to the mashed sweet potatoes.
- Knead well. In case the mixture feels soft, add a little more flour. Make twelve lemon sized balls and stuff one raisin in each. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. When the oil begins to smoke, take off the heat, put in few balls at a time.
