Ingredients
- 4 tomatoes, blanched and chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons crushed garlic
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh oregano
Method
- Place tomatoes in a blender jar alongwith red chilli powder, paprika powder, basil and very little water. Puree till smooth.
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté till pink.
- Add pureed tomato mixture, stir to mix and cook till thick.
- Add salt, sugar, oregano, mix well and continue to cook for 2 minutes.
- Use as required.
