Cucumber Raita with Flax Seeds

Delicious healthy raita made with a combination of yogurt and fresh cucumber and the goodness of flax seeds.

  • 2 medium cucumbers, peeled 
  • 4 tablespoons roasted flaxseeds
  • 1 cup yogurt, whisked
  • ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves


  1. Grate cucumbers in a large bowl. 
  2. Add yogurt, roasted cumin powder, salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder and coriander leaves in a bowl.
  3. Transfer into individual serving bowls and sprinkle with the flaxseeds.
  4. Serve chilled.
