Ingredients list for Toffee Banana Split
- 2 Ripe Banana
- 150 grams Canned Fruit Cocktail
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- Brown sugar 1 teaspoon + 3 tablespoons
- 2 tablespoons Fresh cream
- 2-3 Scoops of vanilla ice cream
- 2-3 Scoops of butterscotch ice cream
- 2-3 Scoops of chocolate ice cream
- Chopped mixed nuts for sprinkling
- Chocolate sauce for drizzling
- Dissolved mixed fruit jam for drizzling
Method
- Put fruit cocktail in a non-stick pan, add 1 tsp brown sugar and sauté for a minute. Place the cooked cocktail in the center of a serving platter.
- Peel bananas.
- Heat butter in the same pan, add bananas, 3 tbsps brown sugar and cook till the bananas are caramelized. Place only the caramelized bananas alongside the cocktail fruits and let the butter-sugar mixture remain in the pan.
- Add cream to the same pan and stir to make toffee sauce.
- Place scoops of vanilla ice cream, butterscotch ice cream, chocolate ice cream on the serving platter, top with the prepared toffee sauce, sprinkle chopped nuts, drizzle chocolate sauce and mixed jam and serve immediately.
