Ingredients

  • 180ml gold rum
  • 60ml cinnamon liqueur
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder + for sprinkling
  • Ice cubes as required
  • Apple soda to top up
  • Apple fans for garnish

Method

  1. In a Boston shaker, add 60ml gold rum, cinnamon liqueur, squeeze the lemon juice directly into it. Add cinnamon powder and a few ice cubes. Place the lid on and shake it till well combined.
  2. For one portion, fill a glass with ice cubes, strain the prepared drink till ½ filled.
  3. Take a ladle and pour 30ml rum and carefully set fire on it using a blow torch. Once it has caught fire immediately, sprinkle a little cinnamon powder, add it to the glass and top it with apple soda.
  4. Stir the prepared cocktail with a cinnamon stick and garnish with apple fan. Serve immediately.
