Ingredients list for Tawa Prawn Masala - SK Khazana

  • 18-20 prawns medium, cleaned, deveined and washed
  • 2 onions medium, peeled
  • 1/2 tomato large
  • 4-5 coriander leaves sprigs
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli paste
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Coriander sprig for garnish

Method

  1. Chop onions, tomato, and coriander leaves. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a tawa, add onions and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add tomato, salt and sauté well. Cook till the tomatoes are pulpy. Add ½ cup water and mix well.
    Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and 3 tbsps water and mix well.
  4. Add red chilli paste, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add prawns, mix well.
    Add 2 tbsps water and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add chopped coriander, squeeze lemon juice and mix well. Cook for 1 minute and take it off the heat.
    Serve hot.
