Ingredients list for Puffed Rice and Amaranth Laddoos
- 1 1/2 cups Puffed rice (kurmura/murmura)
- 1 1/2 cups Puffed amaranth seeds (rajgira)
- 1 tablespo for greasing Ghee
- 1 1/2 cups Jaggery chopped
Method
- Dry roast puffed rice in a non-stick pan for 2-3 minutes and transfer into a bowl.
- Dry roast amaranth seeds in the same pan for 2-3 minutes and transfer into another bowl.
- Heat ghee in the same pan, add jaggery and ½ cup water, mix and cook till the mixture reaches soft ball consistency.
- Add roasted puffed rice and amaranth and mix well. Transfer the mixture into a greased bowl and set aside to cool.
- Grease your palms with some ghee, divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into laddoos. Serve or store in an airtight container.
