Ingredients list for Pineapple And Coconut Souffle With Dark Chocolate
- 1 small ti Pineapple
- 60 grams Desiccated Coconut Powder
- 250 grams Dark chocolate grated
- 3/4 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1/2 cup Milk (full cream)
- 100 millilitres Fresh cream
- 2 Egg yolks
- 1 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 5 Egg whites
Method
- Preheat oven at 180° C. Melt butter in a non stick pan, add desiccated coconut powder, mix and cook till the coconut turns light brown.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave. Cut pineapple slices into small pieces.
- Add refined flour to the pan and cook for a minute on low heat. Slowly add milk and cook till thick.
- Turn off the heat and add fresh cream and mix well.
- Add pineapple, melted chocolate and egg yolks and mix well.
- Transfer mixture into a bowl. Blend egg whites in another bowl with a hand mixer, adding sugar little by little.
- Slowly add egg white mixture to the first bowl and mix well.
- Pour mixture into ramekin moulds and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
