Ingredients list for Perfect French Fries

  • 4-5 Large potatoes peeled and soaked in plenty of water
  • to deep fry Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Salt


  1. Trim the 4 sides of the potatoes to give them rectangular shape. Cut into thin slices and further cut into thin finger like strips and soak them in water.
  2. Drain them and put into another bowl.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, put the potato fingers into hot oil and deep-fry till partly done. Drain them on absorbent paper.
  4. Let them cool down to room temperature, transfer them into zip lock bags and freeze them in the freezer.
  5. Just before serving, bring them out of the freezer and deep-fry them in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Sprinkle salt over them and mix them properly. Transfer them onto a serving platter and serve immediately.
