Ingredients list for Perfect French Fries
- 4-5 large potatoes peeled and soaked in plenty of water
- Oil to deep fry
- Salt to taste
Method
- Trim the 4 sides of the potatoes to give them rectangular shape. Cut into thin slices and further cut into thin finger like strips and soak them in water.
- Drain them and put into another bowl.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, put the potato fingers into hot oil and deep-fry till partly done. Drain them on absorbent paper.
- Let them cool down to room temperature, transfer them into zip lock bags and freeze them in the freezer.
- Just before serving, bring them out of the freezer and deep-fry them in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle salt over them and mix them properly. Transfer them onto a serving platter and serve immediately.
