Ingredients list for Melting Moments
- 1 1/4 cups Refined flour
- 110 grams Butter
- 1/2 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 1 Egg,beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 3/4 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups Corn flakes
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4. Grease a baking tray. Cream together butter and sugar well. Add egg and vanilla or almond essence and mix well.
- Sift flour with baking powder and add to the mixture. Mix to make a dough. Divide the dough into sixteen equal portions and roll them into balls.
- Spread the cornflakes on a sheet of greaseproof paper and roll the balls in them till they are all evenly coated. Place the balls on the baking tray keeping a little distance between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for fifteen to twenty minutes or until they turn a light brown. Take the tray out of the oven and set aside to cool slightly before transferring them onto a wire rack till completely cooled.
