Ingredients list for Masala papad

  • 4 Urad dal Papads
  • to deep fry Tomatoes
  • 4 medium Tomato, chopped
  • 4 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 cup Pomegranate pearls
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon leaves
  • 1/2 kilogram Puffed rice (kurmura/murmura)
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 cup Sev
  • 1 cup Raw peanuts
  • for garnish coriander leaves, chopped

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick kadai. Deep fry the papads and set it aside. Drain on absorbent paper.
  2. In the same oil fry the peanuts. Drain on absorbent paper and set aside.
  3. In a bowl mix together tomatoes, onions, pomegranate pearsls, lemon juice, murmura, salt, sev and fried peanuts and top the mixture on the papads.
  4. Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
