Ingredients list for Maple Pot De Crème
- as required Maple syrup
- 1 cup Fresh cream
- ¼ cup brown sugar/jaggery
- 4 Egg yolks
- as required Whipped cream
- as required Edible colourful sprinklers
Method
- Heat cream in a non-stick pan. Add ⅔ of brown sugar, mix and cook till it melts.
- Take egg yolks in a bowl. Add remaining brown sugar and whisk. Add some cream-sugar mixture and whisk well.
- Add the yolk-cream mixture to remaining cream-sugar mixture, place the pan back on heat and whisk well for 30 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into another bowl. Half fill small glasses with this mixture and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
- Fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle with whipped cream.
- Pour some maple syrup on top of the set pot de crème and pipe out whipped cream on top. Drizzle some more maple syrup and sprinkle some edible colourful sprinklers on top.
- Serve chilled.
