Ingredients list for Malai Peda - SK Khazana
- 1 litres Whole milk
- 1/2 cup Castor sugar
- a large pinch Citric acid
- 2 teaspoons Cornflour
- for garnish Almonds slivers
- for garnish Pistachio slivers
- for garnish Saffron strands
Method
- Heat milk in a deep non-stick pan. When it comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer till it is reduced half its original volume.
- Add castor sugar, mix and bring to a boil.
- Mix citric acid in 2 tablespoons water, add, mix and cook till it curdles slightly.
- Mix cornflour in 2 tablespoons water, add, mix well and cook till the mixture thickens and resembles khoya. Remove from heat and cool.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions, shape into small balls and flatten into pedas.
- Garnish with almond slivers, pistachio slivers and saffron and serve.
