Kalakand Fruit Custard If you have lots of leftover kalakand, don’t despair. Just follow this recipe and turn out a unique dessert This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 May 2022 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Kalakand, Red apple Cuisine Fusion Course Desserts Prep Time 2-2.30 hour Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Kalakand Fruit Custard 5 pieces Kalakand 1 Red apple , cored, cut into 1/2 inch pieces and soaked in wa 1 Pear , cored and cut into 1/2 inch pieces 2 1/2 tablespoons Custard powder 15-20 Walnuts 1 1/2 cups Milk 4-5 tablespoons Caster sugar to garnish Orange segments to garnish Fresh pomegranate pears to garnish Red grapes , seeded and halved Method Roughly chop walnuts. Dry roast the walnuts in a non-stick pan till crisp. Transfer into a bowl. Take milk in another bowl, add custard powder and mix well. Transfer the custard mixture into a deep non-stick pan and cook on medium heat, whisking continuously till the mixture starts thickening and reaches pouring consistency. Add castor sugar. Break kalakand pieces and add and mix well with a whisk till the mixture thickens further. Add half the roasted walnuts and apple and mix well. Pour half the custard into a deep serving plate. Add pears and pour the remaining custard mixture. Garnish with orange segments, pomegranate pearls, remaining roasted walnuts and red grapes. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or till set.
