Italian Apple Dessert

Ingredients list for Italian Apple Dessert

  • 4 small Apples
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh cream
  • 1 tablespo Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Apple juice
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Orange rind
  • 2 cups Fresh cream
  • 6-8 slices Bread , one day old


  1. Peel, core apples and cut into medium thick roundels. Preheat oven to 200˚C. Grease a baking dish with butter. Arrange the apple roundels in it. Sprinkle one tablespoon of sugar and pour apple juice over.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven at 200˚C for ten minutes. Beat eggs, add half a cup of sugar and mix. Add grated orange rind and fresh cream and mix. Place bread slices (removing crust, if required) over the apple slices and press well. Pour the egg-cream mixture over it. Reduce oven temperature to 160°C. Bake in the preheated oven at 160°C for twenty to twenty five minutes. Serve hot.
