- 500 grams Rice old
Method
- Dry grind rice and urad dal. Grind ginger and green chilli to a fine paste. Add it to the flour with little oil, soda bi carbonate, salt and sour yogurt.
- Add little warm water to make a thick batter. Set aside to ferment for ten to twelve hours. Heat sufficient water in a steamer.
- Grease a tray or a thali that will fit into the steamer. Pour the batter onto the greased tray, sprinkle black pepper powder on top. Steam for twenty to twenty five minutes or till done.
- When done remove and cool. Cut it into cubes. Serve garnished with coriander and coconut.
