Ingredients list for Healthy Chawal Ki Kheer
- 3 tablespoons Basmati Rice soaked
- 6 cups Skimmed Milk
- 6-8 strands Saffron (kesar)
- 1 tablespoons Honey optional
- 3 tablespoons Muesli
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- Garnish
- 5-6 Strawberries cut into small cubes
- 1 Ripe banana cut into small cubes
Method
- Soak the saffron strands in one tablespoon of warm milk.
- Boil the milk in a deep non-stick pan, add the rice and reduce heat.
- Cook, stirring continuously, till the milk reduces to one-third of its original quantity and the rice gets cooked.
- Add the honey and mix, partially crushing the rice with the back of the ladle.
- Add the muesli, cardamom powder and saffron milk and mix well.
- Serve hot or cold garnished with strawberries and banana.
