  • 4 Banana ripe
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups Vanilla custard
  • 2/3 cups Rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter chilled
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar


  1. Peel bananas and trim them to fit into a baking dish. Heat butter in a non stick pan, add brown sugar and mix. Halve the bananas vertically and put them into the pan and sauté on medium heat. Pour the custard into a baking dish.
  2. Turn the banana halves so that they get cooked even on both the sides. To make the crumble, take rolled oats, refined flour and chilled butter in a bowl and mix with fingertips. Do not overwork the mixture. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 375°F.
  3. Place the grilled bananas over the custard. Sprinkle the oats mixture over so as to cover the bananas completely. Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top. Bake in the preheated oven till the top becomes golden brown. Serve hot.
