Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Ginger Tea Recipe

  • Ginger crushed 1/2 inch pieces

  • Tea bags 4

  • Sugar 4 tablespoons

  • Aniseeds (saunf) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Milk 1 1/2 cups

Method

Step 1

Boil two and a half cups of water along with ginger, sugar and aniseeds in a deep pan.

Step 2

Reduce heat and simmer for five minutes.

Step 3

Add the milk and bring the mixture to a boil again.

Step 4

Add tea bags, cover and let the tea infuse for two to three minutes.

Step 5

Strain the tea and serve hot.
