Ingredients list for Gajar Halwa Baked Alaska

  • 400 grams Gajar halwa readymade
  • 2 Egg whites
  • 4 tablespoons Mixed nuts chopped
  • a pinch Cream of tartar
  • 2 tablespoons Castor sugar (caster sugar)


  1. Spread a layer of gajar halwa in small earthenware pots. Top with 1 tablespoon chopped nuts and spread some more gajar halwa on top.
  2. Take egg whites in a bowl. Add cream of tartar and beat well.
  3. Add castor sugar and continue beating till stiff peaks are achieved.
  4. Fill a piping bag, fitted with a star nozzle, with the beaten egg whites and pipe over gajar halwa in each pot. Brulee the egg whites with a blow torch.
  5. Serve immediately.
