Add butter, buttermilk and egg. Mix well and knead into a stiff dough, adding water if required. Roll the dough into half inch thickness and cut into two inch thin strips. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the strips till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
