By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Dec 2015 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Rice , Lemon Juice Cuisine Tamil Nadu Course Rice Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Elamcha Satham 1 1/2 cups Rice to taste Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon Ghee 1 small Onion sliced 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds 2 teaspoons Lemon juice Method Bring three and a half cups of water to boil in a pan, meanwhile wash the rice thoroughly and drain. When the water starts to boil, add rice and salt to taste. Cook for ten to fifteen minutes or till the rice is done, drain off extra water if any. Put it back over the heat and cook for three to five minutes. Melt ghee in a pan, add sliced onion and fry until golden brown. Add mustard seeds and when they crackle add the mixture to the rice.
