Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Egg Cheese Burst Recipe

  • Bread 8 slices

  • Eggs 4

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Chilli sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon

  • Oregano a pinch

  • Salt to taste

  • Cheddar cheese grated 2 cups

  • Olive oil 4 teaspoons


Step 1

Beat egg in a bowl till fluffy. Add ginger-garlic paste, chilli sauce, black pepper powder, oregano and salt to it.

Step 2

Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture and arrange them on a plate.Place the grated cheese on four bread slices and cover them with remaining bread slices. Heat oil on a non stick tawa and shallow fry the bread slices till golden brown on both the sides.

Step 3

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
