Ingredients
- 2 medium drumsticks, peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces
- 1 medium bottle gourd, peeled, cut into ¾ inch cubes
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder to taste
- Freshly chopped coriander for garnish
- Crushed black peppercorns to sprinkle
Method
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker; add ginger and sauté for a minute. Add drum sticks, and sauté well.
- Add bottle gourd and salt. Add sufficient hot water and mix well. Pressure cook till 1-2 whistles are given.
- Transfer the cooked drumsticks on a plate. Remove the pulp of the drumsticks and discard the peel. Transfer most of the pulp back in the pressure cooker. Keep a few aside for garnish.
- Blend the mixture in pressure cooker to a fine paste with a hand blender.
- Transfer the blended mixture in a deep non-stick pan, add black pepper powder, salt and mix well.
- Garnish with the remaining cooked drumstick seeds, chopped coriander and crushed black peppercorns.
