Ingredients
- ¾ cup yogurt
- 250 gms parwal, scraped and halved vertically
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 6-8 cloves
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ¾ teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan, add bay leaves, cloves, parwal, salt and mix well. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes or till almost done.
- Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder and mix well. Add ¼ cup water to prevent masalas from scorching.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and mix. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add yogurt and mix. Cover and cook till the parwals get completely cooked.
- Serve hot.
