Ingredients list for Chocolate Peanut Chikki
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup roasted peanut powder
- 1 cup chopped jaggery
- 1 tbsp ghee + for greasing
Method
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and grease a rolling pin with ghee.
- Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a non-stick pan, add jaggery and mix well. Let the jaggery melt completely. To test whether the syrup is ready, put a drop of it in cold water. If it forms a firm ball then the syrup is ready.
- Add cocoa powder and mix well, add roasted peanuts and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the lined tray and spread it evenly with the greased rolling pin.
- Cut into squares while it is still hot. Allow to cool and then break the squares.
- Serve or store in an air-tight container.
