Ingredients list for Chocolate Marquise
- 450 grams Dark chocolate
- 24 Sugar coated biscuits
- 1 1/2 cups Butter
- 1 1/3 cups Icing sugar
- 7 Egg yolks
Method
- Place chocolate in a bowl and place the bowl over water kept boiling in a deep non-stick pan.
- Add 6 tbsps water and let the chocolate melt, stirring occasionally. Crush 18 biscuits.
- Once the chocolate melts, add butter and mix. Sift icing sugar into it and stir continuously till all the ingredients blend completely.
- Whisk 3 egg yolks, add and mix well. Add crushed biscuits and remaining egg yolks and mix well.
- Line base of the silicone mould with a single layer of remaining biscuits.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over and level the top by thumping the mould gently on the table top.
- Place mould in a refrigerator (not freezer) and allow it to set for 3-4 hours.
- Demould, cut into slices and serve.
