Ingredients list for Chicken Stew
- 800 grams Chicken cut into 1½ inch cubes on the bone
- 7-8 cloves Garlic sliced
- 2 medium Onions sliced
- 2 medium Carrots cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 medium Potatoes cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons Whole wheat flour (atta)
- to taste Salt
- 5 cups Chicken stock
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 6-8 French beans cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1/2 cup Skimmed milk
Method
- Heat a non-stick pan and add garlic, onions, carrots and potatoes and roast for four to five minutes on high heat.
- Add whole-wheat flour to the vegetables and roast for a minute. Add chicken pieces, salt and cook for three to four minutes. Add stock and bring it to a boil.
- Add half of the pepper powder. Cover and cook for three to four minutes. Uncover, add French beans, mix and cook for a minute.
- Add milk and remaining pepper powder. Cover and cook on medium heat for seven to eight minutes.
- Serve hot.
