Spinach makes this chicken soup more nutritious. Add dill, spinach, chicken, and salt; allow spinach to wilt and soup to heat back up, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with black pepper, if desired.

Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Spinach Soup Recipe

  • Boneless Chicken Breast 1

  • Spinach Puree 1 cup

  • Chicken stock 1 litre

  • Butter 20 grams

  • Ginger 2 inch

  • Garlic pod 1

  • Onion 1 medium

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder ½ teaspoon + for sprinkling

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • Juice of ¼ lemon

Method

Step 1

Heat butter in a non-stick kadai. Crush ginger and add to the kadai.

Step 2

Cut garlic pod horizontally and add to the kadai. Quarter onion, add to the kadai and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add refined flour and sauté for 2 minutes. Add chicken stock and chicken breast and let the mixture come to a boil.

Step 4

Add salt, black pepper powder and garam masala powder and mix well. When the mixture boils, add spinach puree, mix well and cook for 10-12 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the chicken breast and keep aside. Strain the soup in a bowl. Cut the chicken breast into small cubes and add to the soup.

Step 6

Add lemon juice and mix well.

Step 7

Transfer into serving bowl. Garnish with 1 garlic clove taken from the residue after straining the soup. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and serve hot.
