Ingredients list for Chana Tikki
- 1 cup Chickpeas soaked and boiled
- 2 teaspoon Bread Crumbs
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add cumin seeds, onion and garlic. Sauté for five minutes. Add chillies and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook for two minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Grind it coarsely with chickpeas and salt. Transfer into a bowl and add bread crumbs and coriander leaves. Mix well and knead into a soft dough.
- Divide into equal portions and shape into patties. Coat with refined flour and refrigerate for four hours. Heat the Grill Pan, brush it with a little oil.
- Place the patties in it and cook, turning sides, till fully done and golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with warm pita bread.
