Ingredients for Chana Pakora Recipe

  • Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked overnight 200 grams

  • Onions 2 medium

  • Green chillies finely chopped 4

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 teaspoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 2 tablespoon

  • Oil to deep fry




Step 1

Drain and grind Bengal gram to a coarse paste.

Step 2

Add onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder, black pepper powder, salt, red chilli powder, coriander leaves, corn flour and mix well.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Drop a spoonful of mixture in oil and deep fry the pakoras on medium heat till golden brown and crisp.Drain on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
