History of Indian cuisine dates back to nearly 5,000-years ago when various groups and cultures interacted with India that led to a diversity of flavours and regional cuisines.

Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Baked Amrakhand-Cook Smart Recipe

  • Ripe mango puree 100 grams

  • Yogurt beaten 200 grams

  • Condensed milk 200 grams

  • Ripe mango peeled and diced 1

  • Fresh cream 100 grams

  • Few mango pieces for garnish

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven at 180º C.

Step 2

Mix together yogurt and condensed milk in a bowl. Add mango puree and mango pieces and continue to mix. Add cream and mix well.

Step 3

Pour aamrakhand into 4 ramekin moulds and the remaining in a baking dish. Place all of them in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Step 4

Take them out of the oven and cool down to room temperature. Chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Step 5

Serve chilled garnished with mango slices.
