Apple Tart

Ingredients list for Apple Tart

  • 1 Apples
  • 100 grams Puff pastry dough
  • for dusting Refined flour (maida)
  • for greasing Butter 3 tablespoons +
  • 1 tablespoon Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • for garnishing Icing sugar
  • to serve Vanilla ice cream

Method

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°c.
  2. Dust some refined flour on the table top. Roll the puff pastry dough into ½ cm thick sheet.
  3. Cut the dough into ten centimeter round disk.
  4. Grease the baking tray with butter. Dock the rolled sheet with fork and place it over the baking tray.
  5. Core the apple from centre. Peel the apple completely.
  6. Thinly slice the apples using a slicer.
  7. Arrange the apple slices over the rolled sheet and apply butter on top. Sprinkle castor sugar on top.
  8. Place the baking tray into the oven and bake it for twenty to twenty five minutes.
  9. Remove and dust some icing sugar on top. Serve along with vanilla ice cream.
