Aloo Til Tikki

Pan fried small potato cakes (tikki), served with chutney or pickle. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Aloo Til Tikki

  • 3-4 large Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
  • Sesame Seeds

Method

  1. Heat two tablespoons of ghee in a pan.
  2. Add sesame seeds, green chillies, coriander leaves, rock salt, asafetida, red chilli powder and mashed potatoes and mix well.
  3. Remove the mixture from heat and set aside to cool.
  4. Divide into ten to twelve portions and shape them into round tikkis.
  5. Heat sufficient ghee on a tawa and shallow fry the tikkis till both the sides are evenly golden.
  6. Drain on absorbent paper.
  7. Serve hot with green chutney or lemon pickle.
