Gujarati Dals and Kadhis

Menu – Gujarat is famous for its vegetarian fare. With a slight hint of sweetness in the recipes, Gujarati food is definitely worth trying. Besides the delicious farsaan, a variety of dals and kadhis make this cuisine popular. We bring you 3 lip smacking recipes  for the same. Try – Dal dhokli, Gujarati dal and Trevti dal

Shopping list
1 packet kokum
1 small packet peanuts
500 grams yogurt
1 small packet kokum petals

For faster preparation
Soak, drain and pressure cook the three dals for the trevti dal. Fry onions and keep aside. Cook the dal and prepare the dhokli for the dal dhokli. Make the gujarati kadhi and prepare ingredients for the tempering. 

How to go about it
Heat the trevti dal and add fried onions and cook for 2 minutes. Add the prepared dhokli to the dal, temper it and cook for two minutes. Temper the kadhi and serve hot.
