Shopping list:
250 g refined flour
200 g sweet corn kernels
200 g chickpeas
150 g semolina
100 g split Bengal gram
100 g cornmeal
100 g French beans
100 g carrots
10 g carom seeds
10 g fennel seeds
1 small broccoli
1 kg onions
1 red capsicum
1 yellow capsicum
1 small bunch fresh coriander
1 pack dried mango powder
1 pack garam masala powder
1 pack black salt
For faster preparation:
Chop the vegetables for the shorba. Soak and boil chickpeas and Bengal gram as per recipe. Lightly roast and powder the spices. Grind coriander with green chillies and refrigerate, covered. Chop onions.
How to go about it:
Prepare the chole first. As they cook, knead the dough for the roti. Temper the chole and remove from heat. Prepare the shorba. As it boils, prepare the rotis. Serve the meal.
