Ingredients for Puri Recipe

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) 2 cups

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil 2 tbsps + to deep fry


Step 1

Sieve flour with salt.

Step 2

Add 2 teaspoons of oil and mix. Add water and knead well to make a hard dough. Cover it with a wet cloth and leave it for fifteen minutes.

Step 3

Divide into twenty equal portions. Shape them into balls. With the help of a rolling pin roll into thin puris.

Step 4

Heat oil in a deep frying pan (kadai). Deep fry the pooris in hot oil for a minute, turn the side and fry till it is puffed and golden in color.
